Web applications run on an internet web server and generate HTML web pages that are displayed to the user through a web browser.  All user interaction takes place through a web browser.

A desktop application performs its operations on the client computer, and may access a centrally located database.  However, it does not require a web browser or web server, and does not generate HTML pages.

The Compliance Manager desktop application provides full functionality with a feature-rich user interface.  The Compliance Navigator web module provides the convenience of browser-based access to your data through an internet connection.  The web application supports read/write access to tasks, audits, findings, issues, and actions.  The desktop application supports these features but adds:

• Model building capabilities with task scheduling.
• Document management
• Administrative capabilities, such as adding users, setting user permissions, and managing resource.
